'Outstandingly beautiful. it's such a perfectly constructed work' - Melody Maker. 'One of the most technically perfect productions of this or any year is kind of a cross between '2001' and the golden era Lennon-McCartney ballad days' - Record World. 'I'm Not In Love' is 10cc's signature song; innovative, distinctive and the catalyst that signed the band to Mercury Records and catapulted them to international superstar status. The track topped the UK Singles Chart for two weeks in 1975 and proved 10cc's breakthrough hit outside of the UK; topping the charts in Canada and Ireland as well as peaking within the top 10 of the charts in several other countries, including Australia, West Germany, New Zealand, Norway and the United States, where it peaked at no. 2. It's enjoyed lasting popularity, with over three million plays on US radio since release, and won three Ivor Novello Awards in 1976 for Best Pop Song, International Hit of the Year, and Most Performed British Work. It has appeared in numerous films and television shows, including 'The Virgin Suicides' and 'Guardians of the Galaxy'. Now, the BBC have crowned 'I'm Not In Love' 'the greatest love song of all time' ready for its 50th anniversary in 2025. Released on Valentine's Day on suitably romantic red vinyl, the 7-inch features the full length single (unpopularly edited to 4 minutes for its original 1975 release) and backed with original B-side 'Good News'. The release features new artwork & visualiser designed by 10cc's Kevin Godley, whilst Godley and fellow original 10cc band member Graham Gouldman have recorded a brand new song 'Don't Want to Go to Heaven' to support the campaign.
